Diskriminationsstörung – Disorder of distinguishing sounds

Difficulty with distinguishing similar sounds from one another.

Dysarthrie – Dysarthria

A speech disorder resulting from a neurological injury in which the muscles that help a person speak are affected making it difficult to pronounce words. It can also affect breathing and the voice.

Dysglossie – Dysglossia

An acquired speech disorder due to injury or changes of the speech organs such as a jawline fracture, cleft palate, or tumor removal.

Dysgrammatismus – Dysgrammatism

Difficulties with grammar due to a language disorder.

Dyskinesie – Dyskinesia

Difficulty or abnormality in performing voluntary muscular movements.

Dyslalie – Dyslalia

An old term for a phonetic and/or phonological disorder resulting in defective pronunciation of sounds.

Dyslexie – Dyslexia

A reading disorder. In adults it is often a result of a neurological injury.

Dysphagie – Dysphagia

Difficulty in swallowing.

Dysphonie – Dysphonia

Disturbance of vocal function.

Dyspraxie (verbale Dyspraxie) – Dyspraxia (verbal Dyspraxia)

A neurological speech disorder that affects the planning and coordination of speech related movements.
